Project Overview

The addition and remodeling project at the present Middle School/High School included new sidewalks, new parking lots; a new student drop-off area; restoration of the exterior brick masonry; replacement of windows; new flooring, ceilings and painting throughout; refurbishment of student lockers; and new restrooms. Remodeling also occurred at all of the vestibules and the 7th and 8th grade science rooms. New art rooms, (3) new high school science rooms, (3) computer labs, a servery, kitchen and cafeteria were created, and the stage was changed to a multi-use space.New items that were installed included new casework in all classrooms, a fire alarm system, a security system, air conditioning throughout the building with the use of a well water cooled chiller and new HDCP lift. Systems that were totally redone include the building ventilation systems, the main electrical service and power distribution systems; emergency lighting; telephone/intercom systems; and clock, technology and data systems.The addition included a new student commons area that houses the main entry and office as well as concessions and a student store. Major remodeling occurred to the lower level to create new locker rooms for the high school and a new community weight training and fitness space.
