Project Overview
HSR provided architectural and engineering services for the design and construction of a new 8-unit independent living facility for the Ho-Chunk Nation in Black River Falls.
The facility was designed to allow each unit to have their own identity and entrance from the exterior. Each unit has their own kitchen, living area, bedroom and fully accessible bathroom.
The building also provides community spaces for residents to use at the heart of the building, including a community kitchen, dining and gathering space. There is a small group meeting room that is also a storm shelter.
The facility utilizes in-floor heat to maintain a comfortable living environment for all residents.
