City of La Crosse Pettibone Park Canoe and Kayak Shelter

The open aired structure provides recreational rentals for La Crosse’s Pettibone Park along the Mississippi River. Available items for rent include kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, archery, and fishing gear. The inspiration of the roof design is to mimic the twisting motion of a paddle gliding through the water. Underneath the twist showcases the rental gear available on open racks enclosed in a decorative welded wire fence design. The combination of glulam beams and columns, stainless steel accents, and earth tone finishes allows this facility to not only stand out along the riverfront, but also to complement the park’s aesthetics.
