Trane Company Plant 4 Employee Breakroom and Entry Renovation

HSR worked with Trane Company to update the employee breakroom area and entry at Plant 4 in La Crosse, WI on Townsend St. The project transformed an underutilized corner of Plant 4 into a bright updated breakroom area for employees. Old windows were replaced with new energy efficient frames to increase the amount of daylight coming into the space. Taking advantage of the height inside the plant, allowed for higher ceilings in the break area. The space included a new vending area with access to new employee locker rooms and restrooms without having to put on personal protective equipment and walk through the plant. As part of the project, we designed a new entry with stairs and ramp to accessibility for all employees and visitors. The entry sequence also includes required levels of security for employees coming and going from the plant with new turnstiles. The new space accommodates larger employee shift meetings or just a few people for lunch.
